Here is a zookeeper’s 👀 view of the muskox introduction to the expansion habitat this past weekend. Female muskox Maya and her daughter Sarah Elizabeth were introduced to this new expanded area where they frolicked and chased each other to the delight of zoo staff, volunteers and donors. A baby muskox was seen darting across her habitat alongside her mom at the Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium in Washington. The zoo said the female calf likes to explore. Muskoxen is an ancient species in Alaska, Greenland, and northern Canada, with around 80,000 in the wild. | KTVN 2 News
