2011年3月31日 · Bly: Our teak pilot house tables are Imron clear coated. They were epoxy coated with West for 3 coats, clear coated, then wetsanded and buffed. Look gorgeous and the finish is hard. Another technique I am interested in ( for tables) is pooring bar top epoxy (System 3) and then Imron clear coat. I just think it would be faster.

03-02-2009 10:22 PM. I have yellow imron paint on my S/F. It is 8 years old and still looks great. I use a wool wash mit and Zip wax or Orpine wash and wax. as for the water spots, I use only RO watermaker water for my washing that helps with them. I do chamis the boat every time it is washed and use wax every 3 months.

2016年10月31日 · Received 805 Likes on 507 Posts. The powder coat is industrial and can't easily be blasted off. Sand where needed, use an etching primer and paint as desired. I recommend Imron, if you can still find someone that uses it, or an industrial single stage. You can also have it powder coated over the existing coat.

Awlcraft 2000 Color to Match SeaVee White Gelcoat?
2017年2月23日 · SeaVee and Merc are indeed matching colors as mentioned by Mr. Demeanor. Juan Diaz was very helpful at SeaVee and confirmed that the color is Mercury Cold Fusion White. This is a white with a slight blue cast. Unfortunately that color is not available yet as a standard Awlgrip/Awlcraft 2000 color.

I've had Imron below the waterline for 2 years now, and it looks the same as the day it was done. I've left the boat in the water as long as three days and no problems as of yet. Awlgrip, Imron 333, Alexseal and a select few others are in an entirely different class. There are dozens of knock off materials that are “marketed and advertised” as great finishes. They are priced high enough to lend credibility to their claims but in fact they are no better than the Rustoleum that is pictured above.

One thing to consider though is a white hull is much easier to spot from the air than a black hull should you require search and rescue services. Especially if it is upside down. :o.
