Mar 16, 2007 · I just don't think even the Sam Maloofs in the world care or have the financial interest/assets if you make 5 of his rockers and sell them. Just don't go into business making and selling his rockers full time. One last point. As you mentioned, changing the original plan as you go along is an integral part of the woodworking process.

Jun 12, 2024 · I was able to to find a very nice well established gallery in a tourist town. Typically in a gallery like this there is a commission usually at 40% and the gallery handles all the collecting, shipping, tax etc. I have sold in the last year 9 items retailing from $250 to $795 depending on the bowl or vase size and complexity.

Oct 5, 2022 · Many of us have adopted the plastic multi-drawer cabinets for screws, nut, small bolts, nails - a larger drawers for flat or long items like sandpaper, hacksaw blades. There are some items that deserve a place of their own: unique knobs, screws, bolts for tools being restored. For many years my hobby was restoring Model A Fords (1928-31).

Jun 17, 2013 · I would say items in the $10-$20 range- otherwise it has to be spectacular to get more for it at a craft fair. I saw one guy selling pens for $15- he was giving them away, but selling them like crazy. Useful Items sell good- spoons refrigerator magnets, cutting boards that are nice but not real involved and seasonal things at Christmas time.
Consignment fee seems really nuts.. or is it me?
