Access Google Assistant with your voice
Under “Popular settings,” tap Hey Google and Voice Match. Turn on Hey Google. If you don't find “Hey Google,” turn on Google Assistant. Tip: If you're signed in to a Google Workspace for Education account on your device and can't turn on “Hey Google,” the admin might disabled this setting. Contact your admin for more details.

To have a conversation with Google Assistant, you need a Pixel 4 and later, including Fold, with: New Google Assistant. Assistant language set to English. The language setting applies if you're from: the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, or Singapore.

Use Google Assistant to type with your voice
Punctuation is automatically added as you speak. You can type on your keyboard even if the mic is still on.
