Is dealership ceramic coating on new cars a gimmick?
2022年8月21日 · Ceramic coating is a subject matter that’s it’s own beast but to answer your question, ceramic is not a gimmick but may or may not be effective depending on the application. Yes. No dealership is going to take the proper time to coat a car. It’s a load of dogshit.

2023年6月26日 · SLVSHPANDA. •. Absolutely worth it. If you want to keep your car in the best shape, I do recommend at least PPF for the front area of your car, with ceramic coat. If not, full ceramic coat will not only make your car look nicer and easier to clean, but you can quite literally dry your car with a leaf blower as the water will just bead off.
PPF and ceramic coatings are just BS, tell me why I'm wrong
The maintenance or applying more layers once again adds cost. Ceramic coatings usually cost $1000-3000 depending on where you go and what level of ceramic you get, plus the yearly cost of ceramic maintenance if you want it to last. All this just to make water drip off your car...think about that for a second.

Best coating I’ve used and has lasted 4-5 Years on all my clients cars and they become lifelong customers in my experience. For a consumer coating, I’d say CQuartz UK 3.0 is probably the best coating you can “buy off the shelve. 2 layers will last 3-3.5 years in my experience.

If you dont want to use a pro ceramic coating then try one of the Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions spray on ceramic coatings. Two coats will last about 6 months to a year. Gives a super glossy and slick finish with water beading and can be used on glass and trim. Gyeon ceramic detailer is good for a few weeks.
