I followed the steps and sent my old phone back in with the provided ship kit. A few weeks later, I get a message from apple saying my iPhone is jailbroken and they will not be giving me any credit. I’m shocked.

Phones from Best Buy are locked to whatever carrier’s sim you add to it. They say unlocked because you can buy one for any carrier, but as soon as you add a SIM card to it, it’s locked to that network. After 40 days you can request an unlock (depending on carrier, the device may have to be fully paid off before they’ll unlock it).

I work in tech, getting a 13 is your best bet. I had a 12 for awhile and had so many issues with overheating. The 13 is essentially the same as the 14 (just with a slightly lower graphics card & one hour less of play-back with the battery) IMO it’s the best iphone that’s come out in a really long time & it will last you longer than a 12.

I have heard of people buying open box stuff from Best Buy and when they get home, there's nothing in it (ie, only filler/weights) or the wrong/older version and having a bitch of a time getting Best Buy to believe them.
