I think iPadOS 17 isn’t compatible with your iPad since it’s available on recent iPads, and that the latest version you can install on it is iPadOS 15.8.1, sorry :/

I was hoping that iPadOS 15 would introduce swap space for apps so they don't get kicked out so frequently, but I think it might require some major architectural changes to the OS for this to happen based on how it currently handles apps. Then again, ZERO of my "wants" for iPadOS came, so there's that lol. Reply reply

His comment on it was basically along the line of: these things have such clear capabilities in terms of hardware to replace a laptop.

2009年2月6日 · I see that iPadOS 14 added support for encrypted drives, and articles like these: [article, another article] seem to explicitly call out that encrypted drives only work if they are in APFS encrypted. Is this broken? Or am I doing something wrong?

I did the upgrade from 14.8.1 to 15 when it dropped but as soon as I realized how they'd compromised the screen grid spacing, I was able to downgrade the next day back to 14.8.1 and that's where I am still. Now we're up to 15.4.1 and I'm wondering if there is anything about this current OS that would make an upgrade worthwhile. I do like to stay current ...
