Oct 7, 2024 · Back in the day when I was using a DeWalt saw I had same thing and as Bill said.. check the switch. For me back in the day I could blow the switch out but it eventually got to the point where that didn't work either so I had to buy a new switch and I always did use a foot switch but that doesn't stop dust getting into that switch.

Mar 6, 2019 · I purchased the dewalt scroll saw, and I love the job it does for me, however, I have a challenge The space between the arms measures 5 1/8 inches. Since most blade are 5 inches, this dont leave a lot of room to replace blades. Does anybody know of a way to adjust the arms on this particular saw?

May 31, 2018 · Best saw I ever tryied and I tryied 5-6 of them.i ended up owning 12 of them, canibslizing 3 ,giving away 3, and wearing out the rest.best I could get one to last was a year of hard nonstop scrolling mostly 3/4" plywood.

Jan 1, 2024 · So I decided to set up one for my saw as well. I have a very large noisy dust collector which I use for my large equipment but I wanted something quieter while I scroll saw. I bought the Dewalt Stealth (really quiet) shopvac and set it 20' away from my little workshop room (located in our Orchard Building).

Improved Lighting For My Scroll Saw
Jan 16, 2016 · I have been very unhappy with the one original DeWalt light that came with my DeWalt 788 Scroll saw. I've tried several alternatives, including halogen drafting board lights. Having two lights, one on each side of the saw made a big difference in reducing the shadows around the blade, and whiter brighter lights also helped.

Nov 16, 2015 · The last time however was a different situation. The saw came back worse than when it went in. Discovered that an inexperienced tech had worked on it. So they gave me a brand new saw for the $259! BUT that saw turned out to be defective! I will try a different brand next time I need to buy a saw. Probably an Ex since Woodcraft sells them locally.
