Is dealership ceramic coating on new cars a gimmick?
2022年8月21日 · I mentioned I had ceramic coating from the dealership. It is also backed by the dealership for a lifetime warranty. Upon inspection by the auto detailing shop, they informed me that there was zero evidence of ceramic coating done on the car - no wax or sealant, nothing. And they suggest that I talk with the dealership and get a refund from them.

If you dont want to use a pro ceramic coating then try one of the Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions spray on ceramic coatings. Two coats will last about 6 months to a year. Gives a super glossy and slick finish with water beading and can be used on glass and trim. Gyeon ceramic detailer is good for a few weeks.

If you brush wash it, it'll beat up the coating, and you'll scratch. 2022年6月12日 · Sucks cause the $10 Mothers synthetic was my go-to for my parents cars. I’m a little out of the loop ever since I switched to ceramic coat but I remember Collinite 845 being king and Seal N Shine being the best new thing. Meguiar's M27 Pro hybrid ceramic or Griot's 3in1. The turtle was stuff works great.

They all have different longevity and maintenance… and price points. Wax is still great, much cheaper and protects well and gives that deep glossy look.
