Universal Orlando has closed the Stardust Racers coaster pending an investigation involving multiple agencies.

A guest at Universal's Epic Universe in Orlando died on Wednesday after riding a roller coaster at the new theme park, park officials said in a statement.

"We are devastated by this event and extend our sincerest sympathies to the guest's loved ones."
