The Philadelphia Phillies benched Nick Castellanos earlier this week for his play and for choice words he said to manager Rob Thomson, now Castellanos is speaking out.

Despite turning their performance around on the field to the tune of a five-game winning streak following their victory on Monday, it was revealed a day later that manager Rob Thomson had benched Nick Castellanos for Tuesday's game after the star outfielder made an "inappropriate comment" following getting pulled from Monday's contest.

Nick Castellanos’ leaping grab at the right-field wall helped save the Phillies on Wednesday. There was some irony in that being the final play of their 4-2 win over Miami, given that Castellanos had been benched for the previous game for an incident that began with him being removed for a defensive substitution.
