A Long Beach man who sold a handgun to a teen, who then used it hours later to kill a Gardena man in Long Beach during a robbery, was convicted Tuesday of murder. After around a day of deliberations in Long Beach Superior Court, jurors found 34-year-old Stephen Duong guilty of second-degree murder in the shooting death of Austin Thai, 22.

Maine authorities charged a teenage camper in the strangulation death of Sunshine Stewart, whose body was found on a remote island in Crawford Pond.

Around 6 p.m., officers were dispatched to a residence in the 20400 block of Pinehurst for a reported shooting, Detroit Police Capt. Marcus Thirlkill told reporters at the scene, according to a WDIV (Channel 4) video report.

The shirt appeared to read “I stand tall for baby (name),” a reference to her daughter, who had been living with the family.

A man wanted for murder in Gaffney has been arrested. The Gaffney Police Department released an update Tuesday morning that 35-year-old Anthony Lee Jefferies Jr. was booked into the Cherokee County Detention Center.
