A medical transport helicopter crashed Monday in Mississippi, while carrying two hospital workers and a pilot, officials said.

A pilot and two crew members were aboard the helicopter, which was not carrying any patients when it plunged into the woods outside Jackson, Miss.

California inmate Scott Peterson was injured at Mule Creek State Prison on Sunday, state officials said. The convicted murderer was involved in an "incident with another person" and suffered "minor injuries" March 9, a California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation spokesperson told NewsNation affiliate KRON.
