Kamran Ghulam replaced Babar Azam in Pakistan's Playing 11 in the Pakistan vs England second Test in Multan. The right-uanded batter needed no second invitation to prove his worth and slammed a sensational hundred in his first innings in Test match cricket.

In 2022, during a match for Lahore Qalandars, fast bowler Haris Rauf slapped Ghulam after the latter dropped a catch off his bowling. Rauf later made amends by hugging Ghulam during a successful run-out later in the match.
