F1 pre-season testing 2025: Driver schedules for each team
This week all ten team, and all 20 drivers, will be in action for pre-season testing at Bahrain International Circuit. Starting Wednesday morning and running for three days, the ten F1 teams will put their new challengers — and in some cases their new drivers — through the paces.

Preseason testing is something of an enigma in Formula 1. Fans always get excited to see new cars onthe track, but with no competitive element to a test day, the lap times are relatively meaningless.

Over the next three days, teams will better understand their new cars — and fans will get a sense of what the 2025 season has in store.
What is F1 testing and how does it work?
F1 teams have access to a treasure trove of data, telemetry, and GPS systems that help them measure the performance of their car. During testing, teams will change certain aspects of the car between runs, and will then use their analytics tools to measure whether the tweaks were a benefit or a hindrance.
F1 pre-season testing 2025: Pirelli releases tire choices from each team
Ahead of pre-season testing Pirelli, the sport’s exclusive tire supplier, released information on the tire selections for each team. All ten teams were able to select 35 tires across Pirelli’s range of tires — six sets of “slick” tires and two sets of weather tires — and the choices from the teams are rather interesting.
