The National Weather Service is certain of very strong wind but not so much on snowfall totals with this fast-moving storm.

Our latest storm system brings wind, rain and snow to Kern. First, winds will pick up through the day Wednesday. Late Weds night into Thursday morning, rain and snow begin to fall.

Mild, above average temperatures on Wednesday will give way to gusty wind and high danger Thursday, and more strong wind on Friday.

Warmer-than-average daytime temperatures stay in place through Thursday with some areas flirting with record highs.

Wednesday will be mostly sunny with a high of 64 and Colorado Springs residents can expect light winds, north-northeast around 5 mph.

A strong system bringing heavy rain, evacuation orders and flood warnings is in the forecast Wednesday for Los Angeles and Orange counties and is expected to douse the region for the next three days.
