Python script that downloads and saves any of your favorite YouTube videos and playlists. All you need to do is just run the Python script and follow the terminal prompt.

One app that's never faced these issues is Downie for Mac. Downie is a one-click video downloader for hundreds of websites, including YouTube, Instagram, Reddit, Facebook, Vimeo, and many more.

Those who don't pay for YouTube Premium can download all videos - except music content - but the quality is restricted to medium at best.

YouTube is testing out the ability for free users to download videos without Premium. It leaves out a major Premium perk, though.
