Abstract: A magnetic current loop antenna array is designed, implemented, and measured. Radiation pattern, input impedance, and efficiency of the array are presented.

This paper proposes a dual-spiral magnetic loop antenna tuned to 2.45 GHz for implantable medical devices. It is a predominantly magnetic antenna system miniaturized to 35% of a loop in free-space.

Loop antennas are great if you’re stuck in an apartment building or a congested city. They’re easy enough to make, whether you want a portable loop or a permanent installation.
