More than a month after Luka Doncic ’s blockbuster trade to the Los Angeles Lakers, the former Dallas Mavericks superstar is still finding his way in the purple and gold. In his first 12 games with LA, Doncic is averaging 24.5 points, 8.4 rebounds, 8.0 assists, while leading the Lakers to an 8-4 record in that stretch.

NBA legend LeBron James is happy the Los Angeles Lakers acquired Markieff Morris from the Dallas Mavericks in the Luka Doncic trade.  LeBron and Morris helped the Lakers win the 2020 championship against the Miami Heat at the Walt Disney World bubble.

In the 10 games Doncic has appeared in since the trade, Los Angeles is 8-2. They've now won eight games in a row. And while Doncic, after a bit of a slow start in a Lakers uniform, has now found his stride, the play of James, particularly on the defensive end of the floor, has been a major factor behind LA's winning streak.

The Los Angeles Lakers traded for Luka Doncic ahead of the NBA trade deadline. While it shocked many, LeBron James was able to reunite with his old teammate, Markieff Morris. He's one of the teammates James has always had love and appreciation for. Both of them were a part of the 2020 Lakers title in the bubble. That season was an absolute cluster.
