The Summer I Turned Pretty movie is on the way. During the series finale red carpet celebration in Paris on Wednesday, Jenny Han, the show’s creator, announced that a feature-length film is in the works.

Jenny Han was transparent about the ongoing process, saying, “It’s still a little too soon to say… We don’t know when it’s coming out, but not next year.” If I’m doing a little quick math, “not next year” most likely means at the very earliest 2027.

After the recent season of the show ended, Prime Video announced the continuation of the series with a movie.
