NAPERVILLE – Supna Jain, a second-generation Indian American and veteran educator, has been sworn in as the first woman of color to serve on the Naperville City Council.

The ground-breaking ceremony marked the beginning of the Salvation Army's bid to build a new men's shelter on the organization's Peoria campus.
