In another entry of his Linux 101 series, Jack Wallen shows you how to delete files and folders from Linux using the Command Line Interface (CLI).
There are many ways to clean up or remove files, including using commands such as rm (remove), rmdir (remove directory), shred, and unlink.
Some files on a Linux system can appear in more than one location. Follow these instructions to find and identify these "identical twins" and learn why hard links can be so advantageous.
From the command line, type "backup.bat" and the batch file will run your specified commands: first, copying all files from that directory, then renaming them to remove the extensions.
