Although you can just paste a website address to share the link, creating the hyperlink manually allows you to use descriptive text rather than just show the address.

Type the URL of the site or application for which you want to create a hyperlink in the address bar at the top of the Safari window. Hit the "Enter" key on your keyboard to load the Web page.

Hyperlinks in Google Docs can be used to link to other websites or documents. To hyperlink in Google Docs on a computer, select the text and choose Insert Link in the toolbar.
