President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping began a phone call Friday morning to finalize their agreement about what to do with TikTok in the U.S.

Recent events, including the murder of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, have ignited debates over free speech across the political spectrum. Politicians from both parties and the ACLU have raised concerns about attempts to censor speech and punish individuals for their personal views.
