Boeing will avoid felony charges related to the fatal 737 MAX crashes of 2018-19 under a non-prosecution agreement the Trump administration’s Justice Department reached with the leading U.S. airframer and large defense prime, according to a filing in federal court May 23.

The US Department of Justice said Friday that it struck a deal with aircraft maker Boeing to avoid prosecution of the company over two fatal crashes of the 737 Max, a Friday court filing in the case said.
