Hundreds of flights were canceled at both Dallas Love Field and Dallas-Fort Worth International airports due to the disruption, according to WFAA-TV.

DALLAS (CNN) - A telecommunications outage in Dallas is causing some travel problems. The Federal Aviation Administration says air traffic controllers lost radar and some communications on Friday afternoon. The FAA says the outage was due to a local telephone company equipment issue.
