What Smith needs as much as anything is a run game, which would help open up those deep routes. Las Vegas averaged a league-low 79.8 yards rushing last season, which is why the Raiders drafted running back Ashton Jeanty sixth this year.

That unfortunately wasn't the case against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 2. The Raiders' offense was ineffective, losing 20-9 on Monday Night Football. The Chargers' secondary was all over Smith, who completed 24-of-43 passes for 180 yards, zero touchdowns, and three interceptions.
