Fix Adobe Acrobat Reader could not open PDF because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged error on PC.

I can look at the PDFs, open the text file, et cetera, but I want to see it all as my brother arranged it. What is the .rtfd format, anyway? Is it a standard format or an OS X thing?
