Google Docs API also allows documents from content management systems to be imported and exported to G Suite, enabling collaboration without leaving the system.

The APIs provide hooks that make it possible for Web applications to expose their functionality through Google’s user interface on the Google Drive website.

The Google Docs API (and others) that are the primary driver for the tool are not actually tied to a Windows architecture of course. In terms of usability, the backup system is pretty simple.
