EXCLUSIVE: Oak Hill Country Club President said landing 2035 PGA Championship ‘came out of nowhere’
The PGA Championship will be coming back to Oak Hill in 2035. There were lots of happy faces, handshakes and pats on the back in the grill room at Oak Hill Country Club Wednesday afternoon. The delegation who attended the official announcement at Bethpage State Park that morning were celebrating with the Wannamaker Trophy itself sitting atop the bar.
The KPMG Women's PGA will be played on the Black Course at Bethpage Black in 2028, while the PGA Championship will go to Bethpage Black for the second time in 2033.
The PGA Tour won't play the 2026 Sentry Tournament of Champions due to issues at the host venue, Kapalua Resort. Kapalua's Plantation Course, home to the tournament since 1999, has faced significant irrigation water restrictions.
After Kapalua Golf announced a two-month closure of its golf courses in an attempt to rehabilitate them in time for January's PGA Tour stop there, one of the courses has now shut down indefinitely in an effort to prioritize the course that hosts the PGA Tour.

PGA cancels season-opening Hawaii golf tournament due to ongoing drought
Drought conditions and ensuing water restrictions in Hawaii have forced the PGA to cancel its traditional season-opening tournament in Maui for next year.
