In Excel, the formula bar is the toolbar at the top of the spreadsheet that lets you enter or view the information in a cell.

You worked hard to put that Excel sheet together, now protect it from unintended damage.

To edit an existing formula, you probably make changes in the Formula bar. Recently, I noticed several Excel students reaching for the mouse and clicking the Formula bar to edit formulas.
