ST CLAIR SHORES, Mich. – A dog was killed in a boat explosion in St. Clair Shores over the weekend. It happened at about 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, at the Emerald City Harbor. Video captured the boat carrying two individuals and a dog exploding seconds after refueling at the gas dock.
Witnesses helped rescue two people thrown into the water, but their dog did not survive the explosion that also damaged the fuel dock and caused contamination.
