Blanco Brown has become the first country artist to top the Emerging Artists chart in over a year, and has also cracked the Hot Country Songs Top 10.

Blanco Brown's song The Git Up is at the top of the Hot Country Songs chart for the week dated July 13.

The "Git Up Challenge" has taken off this past month. Sung by Blanco Brown and danced to his song "Git Up", it's a dance challenge in the same vein of the "Kiki Challenge" that took off last summer.

Blanco Brown's "The Git Up" is riding the "Old Town Road" wave to its own viral success, complete with an accompanying line dance.
