The design tool for laser engraving that I finally stuck with is LightBurn, and honestly, I haven’t looked back since I started using it to prepare my files for laser engraving.

But this isn’t a case of the developers not wanting to bring their software to Linux. LightBurn, the defacto tool for controlling hobbyist laser cutters and engravers, was already multi-platform.

PC users can opt to download LightBurn or LaserGrbl software to connect and control their laser engraving machines.
