Well, in Google if you just type 'Area Code 208' it will return the ability to see a map of that Area code at the very top as well as the area that it covers. Pretty handy!

Users of Google Maps in India will be able to easily find the plus code for any area in the app, while the mapping service along with Search will support the entry of the new coordinate system.

Google may address such concerns in time. As it explains, the Plus Codes system is open-source and free.
