The Ashworth College program, which launched in 2016, now joins a list of only 12 distance education vet tech programs to be accredited by the AVMA CVTEA.

The program accepted its first class in the fall of 2013, and the program was granted initial accreditation by the AVMA-CVTEA. For information, visit mxcc.edu. Spring semester classes begin Jan. 22.

The A.A.S program is accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA). There is also a one-year Veterinary Assistant certificate for students seeking employment as Vet Assistants.
