Microsoft brings lots of new features and improvements to its popular open-source code editor, Visual Studio Code.

In 2015, Microsoft launched its answer to that question: Visual Studio Code. At heart, VS Code is a text editor, based on GitHub’s cross-platform Electron framework.

Visual Studio Code is a lightweight IDE from Microsoft for developers to write code in a variety of languages like Python, PHP and more. It has inbuilt support for Git as well.
