Stocks are looking to close out April on a high note as markets struggle through the worst 'first 100 days' of a U.S. President since Richard Nixon.

The US stock futures continue to remain in cautious mode after a slew of companies suspended or tweaked their full year guidance in light of President Donald Trump's tariff-related uncertainties. Yet,

President Donald Trump's second term has reached its 100-day milestone, and the performance of the S&P 500 during that period is the second-worst for an administration since 1945.

Trump makes a momentous political comeback, breaking through the "blue wall" to win 312 electoral votes. Trump becomes only the second US president in history to be elected to non-consecutive terms, following Grover Cleveland (the 22nd and 24th US president).

It's been an erratic year for the stock market. Through everything that's happened so far, the broader benchmark S&P 500 is down about 6%, although much more from highs the market reached in mid-February.
