The Pistons have won eight straight games for the first time since 2017. At 33-26 they’ve climbed from 11th place two months ago to sixth place – firmly into a playoff spot and even into contention for home-court advantage with one of the best runs in the NBA since late December.

The improvements had Detroit riding a seven-game winning streak entering Wednesday's game against the Boston Celtics. The results led to the Pistons extending their streak to eight with a 117-97 win at Little Caesars Arena. They improve to 33-26 overall while ending a 12-game losing streak against the Celtics.
