U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in New York City filed an immigration detainer with the New York City Department of Correction on Sept. 15 for the release of 38-year-old undocumented immigrant Jose Edwin Cruz Gomez.

Governor Kathy Hochul released a statement expressing outrage in regards to ICE raids that took place in upstate New York yesterday.
