There's a new tropical storm has formed in the Atlantic Ocean and it has the potential to become a hurricane, according to the National Hurricane Center.

Tropical Storm Gabrielle formed Wednesday in the Atlantic Ocean but was far from land, forecasters said.

It is forecast to become a hurricane Sunday afternoon.
