Microsoft delivers an update for its Visual Studio 2010 development tools suite and also announces new Feature Packs and a new LightSwitch beta.

Microsoft has released the beta of the first Service Pack update for Visual Studio 2010. The update comes a week after Microsoft released Visual Basic tools for Windows Phone 7 development.

Microsoft is now offering a beta release of its service pack for the Visual Studio 2010 IDE that adds capabilities such as IntelliTrace support for 64-bit systems, company officials said.
