The Motorola DROID Turbo was first released back in October of 2014, and it sported the latest version of Android available then, Android 4.2.2 KitKat.

After a month of testing, Verizon is finally rolling out the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update to its Motorola Droid Turbo handsets in the United States.

Verizon's software update page indicates that the update will not become available to Droid Turbo 2 owners until October 3.
