Oral thrush, also known as oral candidiasis, is a yeast infection of the mouth caused by an overgrowth of the Candida fungus.

Oral thrush is caused by the overgrowth of a yeast called Candida. More common in babies, it also affects people with a weakened immune system or as a side effect of corticosteroids and antibiotics.
