Late-night host Stephen Colbert won an Emmy on Sunday for "The Late Show" after CBS announced the program would end in May 2026 earlier this year.

In July 2025, he announced that CBS had decided to cancel the show, with its run set to end in May 2026.

"I love what we do, and I want to go to work on Tuesday and for the next nine months with these people and work hard but have fun," he said, backed by the Late Show producers.
