More than 30 years after its initial release in 1985, the classic Microsoft Paint app is poised to make a comeback – and it's gonna be a big one.

Paint 3D's impending demise was revealed through a banner that appears for some people in the app itself. But if you're a fan, there is some good news.

Microsoft is forging ahead with adding AI into, well, everything it can right now, and the latest recipient in this respect is the Paint app in Windows 11 preview builds.
