Stony Hill Sand and Gravel of Springfield and James Trompke of Granby have petitioned selectmen to allow 20,000 truckloads of earth to be removed.

The nomination for Cairns Street in the Granby area comes weeks after architects Assemble were nominated for the Turner Prize for their work on the Granby 4 Streets scheme.
