Roblox is the latest company to U-turn on previous pledges to remote workers, having just issued a blunt remote to office mandate.
Roblox, the $19 billion gaming giant known for creating virtual experiences, has ordered employees back to the office three days a week or take a severance package, to move away from remote working.
Many of Roblox's remote employees will be asked to adhere to a three-day in-office work week or take a severance package by January 2024.
As detailed in a blog post written by Roblox founder and CEO David Baszucki, the company has asked an unspecified number of staff to return to work at its San Mateo headquarters by next summer.
