The median gestational age of the 25 neonatal patients at the time of diagnosis of invasive candidiasis was 30 weeks (IQR: 25–38), with a median birth weight of 740 g (IQR: 384–1040).
Mean age at onset of candidemia was 17 days. One patient had two episodes of candidiasis. Thirteen infants failed previous antifungal therapy with amphotericin B (with or without 5-flucytosine).
