The National Assembly is debating the 2025/26 Appropriation Bill. The DA will now back the bill after Higher Education Minister Dr. Nobuhle Nkabane was dismissed, while the MK Party remains opposed.

On Wednesday, the National Assembly will, following the conclusion of its Budget Vote Debates on departmental budgets, consider and vote on the Appropriation Bill.

National Assembly members must be sworn in not more than 14 days after the election result has been declared. The president of the country will be sworn in on Wednesday.
